One practical way to advocate for more public transit routes is to make good use of the ones we have! Are there trips you already make where the trolley would be an option? Can you make a commitment to ride monthly or weekly?

The InterUrban Trolley is a service of MACOG (the Michiana Area Council of Governments). RideTheTrolley.org is a community initiative and is not affiliated with MACOG or the InterUrban Trolley. What comments do you have for MACOG about current trolley routes or your ideas for expanded service? We've included a brief sample here. We'll compile your comments and pass them on to MACOG.

The InterUrban trolley in Goshen and Elkhart is a valuable asset to our community. I support expanded public transit options, including more routes to residential and industrial areas. I believe increased service in these areas can help strengthen legal options for transportation, increase traffic safety, support people working in the local economy, use tax dollars wisely in care for the environment, and help make this area a more welcoming multi-cultural community.

What comments do you have for us about RideTheTrolley.org? Please note here if you're a member of a church, community group, or other institution that's interested in public transit in Elkhart County, and you could be a contact person for that group. Also note if you have particular skills or interests that you'd like to contribute to the cause!

We commit to keep your name and email address private (we will share them with MACOG if you included a comment to MACOG above). In the future we may plan trolley-riding parties or other trolley-related events, or we may want to ask for your help to advocate for public transit in Elkhart County. Check the box below if we can email you this kind of information (it won't be frequent).

It may also be helpful for your mayor, city council, or county commission representatives to know that there is public support for increased commitment to public transit. Can we share your comments with them?

In order to know who your city/county representatives are, we'll need your address. This won't be shared with anyone except your representatives.
